From telephoning Peter Moody he took very little time before coming out to look at
two of our properties which were suffering from damp, and to provide a quote for the
job. I knew how professional he was as he not only looked at the problem, but he
drew plans of the areas affected, together with measurements. He explained

The work was carried out promptly, to an exceptionally high standard, at a very realistic price, leaving very little mess.
The cottage is 136 years old, built with solid brick walls, sitting directly on clay with no damp course, and has suffered very badly over the years from the ingress of rising damp.
Other contractors have tried numerous methods of control in the past, using various techniques to contain it, but have never met with a great deal of success. This of course has led to a great deal of expense and frustration.
However it does appear that this time it has worked, and we feel very confident that we now have the answer to the problem, but only time will tell, and we do have a 30 year guarantee.

We are very pleased with the work undertaken by Peter Moody and his team. The nature of the work involved the removal of concrete flooring and wall plaster from a basement area of the house which required re-tanking and lagging of a toilet and utility area. The workmen had to work in a very tight enclosed area with limited ventilation and all of the rubble had to be carried through the main part of the house.
Considering the extent of the work and the volume of rubble and dust that had to be removed, there was minimal disruption and dust transfer to the rest of the house. This was largely due to the care and consideration of the workmen and the methods employed for the job.

I first contacted Peter Moody (who was recommended to me) after I had a poor experience with a different damp proofing company, that lead to the work needing to be redone on my property.
I am a 66 year old female and live alone so I was very concerned/anxious about having this type of work redone, however, when Peter Moody arrived at my house to make an assessment, he put me at ease.
He assessed my house for the need for damp proofing and created a report, which I could take my time to read through. He offered to answer any questions that I may have, which would reassure me further. The price was fair and in line with other companies that I had researched, but it was Peter’s reputation that made me decide to go with him.
Arranging a start date, time schedule for work to be completed was simple and the work began on time. The workmen were polite when they arrived and again were very reassuring. I felt I could trust them in my home, which is very important.
At the end of the first day (after they had removed the plaster from the walls and drilled and injected the damp proofing solution), I arrived home to find they had swept up after themselves, cleared & removed the rubbish and ultimately made the living room and kitchen (where the work was been carried out) as liveable as possible.
